For over 30 years since its establishment, Yuantai has witnessed the rise and fall of Taiwan's bamboo industry—from the glory days of massive bamboo and bamboo product exports to today, when bamboo products are regarded as a sunset industry.

To bring bamboo back into daily life and offer consumers a more natural alternative to plastic, Yuan Tai developed Taiwan's first bamboo toothbrush. The subsequent products developed—bamboo straws, bamboo cups, bamboo bowls, and bamboo ear picks—are all items related to daily life. With the goal of a circular economy and the principle of zero waste, they aim to protect Taiwan's traditional industries together and be friendly to our environment.

In 2018, Yuan Tai Bamboo Craft launched the crowdfunding campaign "Yuan-Tai Bamboo Straw | The World's Weakest Straw" on FlyingV, successfully raising nearly one million NTD. It is Taiwan's first bamboo factory to transform through crowdfunding.

Transformed, Yuantai Bamboo Handicraft has become a rising star in the bamboo industry with its strongly designed bamboo tableware, bamboo toothbrushes, and bamboo straws, successfully repositioning bamboo from a traditional handicraft image like weaving into an eco-friendly medium.
