Pazhu Studio focuses on the complete process of bamboo from raw material to artifact. From splitting the bamboo, trimming the strips, and weaving to shaping, every single step influences the final proportions, strength, and tactile feel of the work.

In the studio's name, "splitting bamboo" (pò zhú) does not mean destruction, but rather a way of entering into the material. Only by first understanding the fibers, joints, and elasticity of bamboo can one enable it to be stably utilized in new forms.

Po Chu Studio's works often retain handmade traces and material characteristics. Through a contemporary design vocabulary, bamboo weaving transcends the traditional impression of baskets, hampers, and utensils, becoming a part of spaces, lifestyle products, and cultural exhibitions.
