Concept Explanation
Located in the Chiayi City Lumber Mill Plaza in Hinoki Village, with a gentle breeze making the trees sway slightly, a cluster of mango trees beckons. Walking into the dimly lit world among the trees, one suddenly discovers a realm of elves.A faint and quiet bamboo-structured small teahouse exists upon a small hill, like a Taiwanese native mango fallen into the embrace of the earth. In the sun-drenched plaza, sitting within the shade of the trees in the bamboo mango teahouse, feeling the cool and pleasant breeze while brewing a pot of Chiayi's mountain-flavored oolong tea, there naturally exists a realm of elves between the inside and the outside.
Development process
During the development process, using Taiwan's native mango as the primary concept, it is constructed by extracting the geometric circles characteristic of the Taiwan native mango. It also emphasizes the material properties of bamboo, which is highly flexible, showcasing the unique and charming aspects of bamboo architecture. It challenges the design and planning of three-dimensional curved surface intersections and the combination of dissimilar materials, while creating a 1/14 scale small mound on a site prone to water accumulation, thereby improving the site's overall condition.
