Tube chiseling involves drilling holes in the bamboo tubes to connect them, while tube wrapping involves hollowing out a section of a bamboo tube to enclose other bamboo tubes. In addition, in order to bend the bamboo tubes, there is also a technique of bending them by heating with fire.<\/span><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Almost all bamboo tube techniques are used to make bamboo furniture, and depending on the design, techniques such as tube chiseling, tube wrapping, and heat bending are mostly used in combination. In addition, there are applications where small bamboo tubes are used to make children's toys. By utilizing the resonance cavity of bamboo tubes, they can also be used as musical instruments. (Photo courtesy of Green Lotus)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/p>\n<p>Making full use of the hollow and resilient nature of bamboo, bamboo tube chairs cannot be made using bamboo from just any country. While bamboo furniture exists in both Taiwan and Southeast Asia, the styles are completely different. The reason is that, compared to the solid bamboo species found in Southeast Asian countries, almost all of Taiwan's bamboo species are hollow.
