/concept
The design aims to continue the appearance of the five-funtion train, combining the experience of open bays within the bamboo forest, allowing the square exterior to blend into the background of the mountain forest.Enhance the perception of bamboo and the beauty of nature through pure appearance, organic negative space, and interactive mechanisms that challenge sound emission. The vehicle's orthogonal grid system expresses traditional bamboo construction forms, while curves disrupt the static facade, making the platform more lively and dynamic when in motion.
Method
Responding to the base's past history of operating on the Alishan Railway through the original appearance of the five-分 train (sugar cane train). Responding to the human perceptual experience of bamboo itself through a vertical system and spatial module, allowing users to achieve a comfortable feeling of nature within the space of the artwork. Within the grid system, negative spaces are carved out through visual and circulation design, enabling the small trolley to transcend the limitations of an installation and form an experienceable space. Through bamboo sound installations, the visitor's mood is relaxed, and the interaction and dialogue between the space and the person are enhanced.
