Kueichow Bamboo Association

How do we know if this species existed here in the past? We can know through the mother tongue. Fuxing District in Taoyuan City is currently Taiwan's main production area for moso bamboo and is also a settlement of the Atayal people. From the Atayal language spoken by the elders, it is possible to determine which bamboos are invasive species and which are native to the area, because only bamboo species that have existed for a long time are present in the native language spoken by the people.

Yuantai Bamboo Arts

To bring bamboo back into daily life and offer consumers a more natural choice other than plastic, Yuan Tai developed Taiwan's first bamboo toothbrush. The subsequent products they developed—bamboo straws, bamboo cups, bamboo bowls, and bamboo ear picks—are all everyday items. With the goals of a circular economy and zero waste, they aim to protect Taiwan's traditional local industries and be friendly to our environment.
